Rarely seen Timo Sarpaneva pieces at Designmuseo in Helsinki. I learned that his award at the Milan Triennale in 1951 can be attributed to Tapio Wirkkala telling the Italian judges that Sarpaneva’s coffee pot cover (the rooster below) was a hat and placing it on his head 😄
